My name is Mollie and I'm a bubbly southern-raised blonde, but don't let that fool you... I'm here to get the job done! So, let's get down to business.
I have experience in wardrobe styling, PR/marketing and retail, as well as fashion/beauty blogging and social media management. Over the last 5 years I've done all of these things in order to gain exposure and knowledge as to better understand all the moving parts of the industry, leading me to develop a unique skill set.
In the summer of 2013 I interned with Seventeen Magazine in their NYC Marketing department where I worked closely with the publishing team to gain a better understanding of the magazine business and how to effectively market the brand. There, I also had the opportunity to attend MPA's Magazine University seminar, instructed by the industry's leading executives from Time Inc., Hearst, Conde Nast, XO Group, and more. I took part in numerous projects such as helping with the launch of a new mobile ap and model casting for a national Journeys ad campaign, along with assisting several collaborative events for some of the company's biggest advertisers.
With experience both behind and in front of the lens, I am able to communicate well with models and the crew in order to coordinate successful fashion shows, photo shoots and events. I like to accept new challenges and am willing to put in the long hours the industry demands. I am also very hands on, visual, and always looking for creative new ways to innovate.
In March 2014 I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Marketing and Management on a national competition scholarship from the Art Institute of Charlotte, having done so in less three years. Directly following graduation, I moved back to New York City to delve into my fashion career and have learned even more working for Stella McCartney and celebrity stylist, Annie Ladino as well as with leading luxury retailer, Bergdorf Goodman as a personal shopper assistant.
I have since moved on to being a full time freelancer, allowing me to write/blog and style for various sites and publications. Since April 2015 I now reside in North Carolina where I am a stylist represented by Directions USA agency, part time bridal consultant and also own a personal shopping business under my fashion/beauty blog name, Secrets to Style.
